The Circleville Pumpkin Show Community Band Scholarship Program:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 1-18-2021
2021 Circleville Pumpkin Show Community Band Scholarship Program:
Normally, the band would start to send out scholarship applications and information just after the first of each year.
The band would then make the formal announcement of the recipients at their Spring Concert, which is usually held in either March or April.
However, the decision has just been made to at least postpone offering the 2021 Band Scholarship.
This decision was not made lightly, as the members certainly look forward to this additional way of being of service to the community, and of encouraging the plans for continued education by area high school seniors.
Perhaps when the current restrictions on group activity imposed due to the virus are adjusted, the band can resume its normal schedule of practices and performances and can revisit this decision at a later point even yet this year.

3. HOW IS THE APPLICATION REVIEWED?:
Once all applications are in by the deadline, the band will assign a committee of band members to review them.
4. WHEN AND HOW IS THE AWARD ANNOUNCED?:
Although the recipient(s) will be informed ahead of time, the scholarship award(s) will be made public at the band's Spring Concert that year.
The recipient's family and friends can be there in support, pictures are taken, and everyone gets treated to a FREE band concert....That's right...I said absolutely FREE!
5. HOW IS THE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY PAID?:
The money is paid by check from the band's bank account directly to the student.
6. IS THE SCHOLARSHIP RENEWABLE?
No.
The scholarship is a one-time award made by the band.
7. APPLICATION FORM:
Paper copies of the scholarship application are forwarded yearly by the band to the appropriate band directors.
However, the band knows that sometimes information is misplaced or forgotten in the hectic world of Band Directors, and that band practice rooms have bulletin boards already typically overflowing with other things.
Accordingly, the band will place a copy of the scholarship application form on this web page, as well.
At this point, this web site is NOT set up to be able to complete the application on line and then submit it electronically. So, you will need to print it out, complete it by hand, and mail it to the address listed.
